State Representative Brian Hill (R-Zanesville) presented a resolution to the John Glenn High School basketball team during today’s Ohio House session for their Division II State Championship title.
“I am honored to be able to present this resolution to the Muskies and to have such a great team representing New Concord and the 97th House District,” said Rep. Hill. “The young men on this team and their coaches have worked hard and faced adversity throughout the season, and are extremely deserving of their DII Championship title.”
The Muskies won with a score of 76 to 72 in their state championship game against Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s at Ohio State’s Value City Arena. The team finished their season with a 28-1 record with 28 wins against Ohio teams. This was the first state title won by a team from the Muskingum Valley League since 1975.
